It’s official!  The Colorado Coaching community has unanimously confirmed the Volunteer Board of Directors for the Colorado Girls Softball Coaches Association.

Your Board Members are; Dave Beckman, Fred Flores, Bob Kelley, Mark Schultz, Lynn Snodgrass, Dave Weaver and Claud York.

Over the course of the next 12 months, these seven members will work diligently to organize and structure the CGSCA to meet the ideals set out in the Mission Statement, update and file all necessary State and Federal Government documentation pertaining to our 501(c)(3) and prepare the Organization for our first CGSCA meeting planned in November 2007.

The benefits of have having an active Board and Member group are many, but it won’t be successful without the Coaching communities help. There is much that we can do, and all of it will come with some expenses.   First and foremost, we have this, the Colorado Fastpitch website, that will need to be maintained.  Inclusive to the maintenance, enhancements are being planned to make this site the “Go To” site for any fastpitch softball related information. 

Secondly, the Board will have the task of updating, renewing and filing documents with the State and Federal Government in regards to it’s 501(c)(3) status.  These two actions have expenses related to their effort.  So in order to get this ball rolling, we are asking each Head Coach to donate $15 to the Association to accomplish these goals.  This website alone is worth that much and more.  This $15 donation will of course, provide you and your Assistant Coaches CGSCA Membership and offer you and your Assistant Coaches the ability to “post” information on the coloradofastpitch website.  Website registration will still be needed in order to activate your posting privileges.   If we can get all of the Head Coaches to contribute/participate, we can then allow all other members of the community; Players, Parents, Umpires and Fans of the Sport to participate at No Cost.  Coaches, this is our site and it helps us immensely.  Don’t wait.  Jump over to the Membership Page of this site now.
